Had a great weekend having a go at my first Ben, a bit out of my league to be honest but so glad I got round in one piece without any major mishaps. What a great race, loved it. That climb was never ending and never have I had to concentrate so much on a descent as I did coming down, bloody hell it was tough, but dead chuffed to finish in 2hrs 37 minutes, absolutely battered but elated at the same time.
Massive thanks to organisers, marshals, helpers and anyone else involved in putting on this iconic race, top respect. Well worth the 7hr drive up from Hull.
Stayed at Fort William Backpackers Hostel and met up with some great friendly people, and special mention to a top bunch of lads (& lass) from Rossendale Harriers, I was on my tod and they made me feel more than welcome, cheers fellas.
