Should be a good race at the sharp end if the new record is there to be ran...looking forward to hearing about it when I arrive at the finish line over an hour after it haha!!

All packed ready for our long drive up to Fort William, don't think I've been this excited about a race in a long time, but nerves kicking in a tad.

He posted a 1.39 on the new route last week in training. Tom Owens will push him for the win I think, as he is on great form at the moment.

First time for me. Looking forward to seeing who comes past first while I still climb!

Or maybe Ricky Lightfoot, not sure how his form is at the moment, but I think it might be close. I'm also looking forward to seeing them hurtle past me as I struggle on the climb blowing out my arse about threequarters of the way up,can't wait.

Word was Finley won in 1hr 28mins on the new route. He may have been close to Kenny's old record had he run the quickest route.
Sam Tosh was just behind him at the summit.

What's the consensus re the time difference for the new route? I reckon maybe between 1-2 minutes extra? Of course it depends on your ability to descend steep grassy slopes on battered quads.....
Any thoughts from other Ben regulars?
