    Thumbs up Re: Wadsworth Trog

Glorious day for running a swift half (or the ladies race as it was referred to in the Gents prior to kick off.) Had the (dubious) honour, for the 1st time, of being followed - word must have got out about all those reccies of a couple of years ago. Anyway must confess to the 1 navigational error going over Dimmin dale where there is a fork in the path - it was one of those moments where you have a feeling you've taken the wrong turn but still carry on.

Fantastic grub at the end & a well organised race by the Calder crew. Got to see an amazing finish by Karl, finishing with a gap of 9 mins as noted by Stagger.

    That was Mrs BillJ.
I'll pass the thanks on to her, Hugh.
She did confess afterwards that if you were another lady she probably would have kept quiet!!!

Yes, fantastic race, brilliantly organised, even down to Jo Buckley (at least I think it was her, I was hallucinating at the time) trumpeting Chariots of Fire just after CP13.

    Wasn't it a bugle?

Anyway, many thanks to the organisers from me too. As I was getting changed afterwards by my car (on the road above the cricket ground) I was stunned by how peaceful it was - stunning countryside on a beautiful day.

Then come back for the Midsummer Madness races in June, Tag.
Same stunning area, basking in the summer sunshine. Same laid-back atmosphere.
