    130 miles and approx 12,000' of ascent. Very nice scenic part of the world though. Take a couple of bananas and throw in a cafe stop and it will be a doddle. You like a challenge Emmi and you've weeks left to train yet.

    oh. hmmm I'll see. The IM is 112 so I'm just short of doing that on the training rides but find am getting a bit knackered by 80!!

    If you get in a group and sit it it is much easier, does not assist on the climbs though!! Drop me a line if you ener, I'll bring a spare energy gel

    that's what worries me not done a bike race yet.....not sure of the etiquette ie. drafting, half wheeling (I know you shouldn't) and when to take your turn on the front??? At least with a TT you're on your own!

    It's not a race, just a ride, bit like the newly coined sportive events. Have a look at the Audax UK website for the ethos of the thing.

    your not eating enough early on in your ride
    try the go bars , they are great

    making sure I eat every 30-40 minutes but I'm not drinking enough you're right been using the power bar stuff as that's whats on the IM so trying to get used to it

    I find the SIS PSP22 is very benificial on longer rides. On training camps when you are doing 80+ every day for a week I also you the REGO.
