Great event and my first past marathon distance, thought i would cope well and didnt really!! thanks to the Clayton runner who helped me with my major bout of cramp just after Stoodley pike climb, and apologies again to the fella whose bag i inadvertently poured a bowl of chilli into in my post race stupor!!
Calderdale hike next long one and already stocked up on the Ibuleve gel!!!

It's alright team pie, I don't hold grudges! I have also remembered your BG offer, I'll let you know if I'm short for the attempt.

It wasn't really my sort of course, too many roads/tracks and steady downhill, wanted more hills.
One thing that did get me, much of the time we were pretty well up but the amount of rubbish discarded by those in front. It was a disgrace, can you people not read or have any thought of what you are doing. We are priviliged to be able to run through some beautiful countryside and you wankers seem to think it OK to leave your crap in it. You may be able to run but you have no place in our sport, f**k off!

I was running around the 60th position and although I wasn't looking for rubbish I only saw two pieces of rubbish both of which I picked up and dropped off at the next checkpoint. But I'd still agree with you T'owd lad it is unacceptable.

Bob Graham offer still stands, my running partner and I are going for an attempt next summer so are in need of as much recce/support runs on the route as possible. Didnt really witness any littering myself but agree no space for people that do in the sport!

Think I'm eating normally today. Immediately after a race I can't eat much, but it usually doesn't last long. I get a bit fussier about what I eat after I've done a long hard run. Don't really like cold food - need hot stews. Washed down with loads of tea.

I always eat tons,be it 3 miles or 33!At the risk of appearing xenophobic,were there are any German runners yesterday?Whist queuing (Britishly) at the gate above Bronte Bridge,some chaps dodged the queue and climbed over the(farmer's) fence!Is this etiquette?

It's amazing round there isn't it.

I've run and walked there for the first time this year and I was quite surprised how dramatic the scenery is.
