14 miles/2400' over Hameldon, Clowbridge, Water, Liver Hill, Loveclough, Goodshaw hill & Baxenden golf course. Things were going o so well until I turned my right ankle 1/2 a mile from home. Managed to run back on it after a brief cry stop and it doesn't look like an elephant's ankle just yet so hopefuly will be OK.
Nice spring day today with clear views of the various Rossendale valleys, Stoodley Pike, lot's of windmills and a numbers of circling aircraft waiting to land at Manchester. Hope the weather for tommorow is better than forecasted and then I can have a longish dry bike session.
Fingers crossed for the weather, hope the ankles ok. Set off on a run, knee ok until started going downhill, turned back and dug the road bike out of the cellar. 21 miles in bright sunshine, plus two mile long steep climbs 20% in places on the first, 30% in places on the second. Knee ok on the bike![]()
slow and steady 4 miles with loads of stretching. Last run before the skyline.
Bring it on...
8 miles over Grassington & Hebden moor via Yarnbury and Hebden gill, lots of mud and sunshine, great fun.![]()
First run of my 3rd comeback since January.
Managed about 4 miles of tarmac slapping fun with my neglected running buddy. (Cant see why he cant run when I dont, but the what the hey).
Wish I could have have took him up on the moors and shown him the way tonight. Alas its just the flats for me (and him) for a while till my knee is right.
I hope I can take him along to a fell race in the very near future.
I have named him Roy the Runner.

A circuit training session followed by an 8 mile club road run. As usual I got all stupidly competitive and probably over cooked things with Edale in mind. No running tomorrow or Saturday should see me fine though.....touch wood.
Nice steady 16.5 on trails and hilly roads last night. Nice weather but getting cold by the end. Glad I went out then as it is grim this morning.
