Have the muddy conditions made anyone decide to change their planned footwear?

I was still thinking of wearing my Mizuno Wave Harrier trail shoes, which aren't the best for grip but they are what I have trained in and i don't know how I would get on in my Innovate fell shoes.

I'll be bringing my v1 Mizunos along as well. Minimal grip(!) but they're bl*ody comfy, like slippers! As it's so wet, something a bit more "agressive" would lack the comfort on the hard bits. Does that make sense?

Done the 3 peaks (walkers route) a couple of times in inov8s, now't wrong with them for this course. Reckon anything between a terroc/wave harrier to a mudroc style sole are all fine any time of the year.

I am not wearing something more aggressive i.e walshes as the amount of concrete invloved would f*ck them up.

So who is in Horton on Saturday night as well? I will be up there and probably go for a bit of a trot on the Sunday morning with a few people. Anyone else fancy it?

I'll be doing it in my Flyrocs. I don't fancy that much road and track in Mudclaws.

It will be salomon Speed Cross all the way for me.

Great on trail and mud, Good on rock and not bad at all on tarmac either.

Its just a great all round fell shoe.

Walshes for me too - they're fine on the road. Unfortunately they don't have nearly enough grip for the mud and water that's below PyG and Ingleborough right now .

Not likely, I've yet to buy what I'm wearing but will be some form of trail shoe.

Possibly Montrails or Wave Harriers, will let you know what I buy on Wednesday.
