Emma & I made a weekend of it & both had a fantastic time. Emma was especially chuffed because she didn't come last in her junior race this year (despite moving up an age category!)

Couldn't quite finish all the beer and cakes before Daz, Marvin & the others got back from their BG recce - but made a good go of it.

Thanks again to Wynn, Steve, marshals & helpers. And especially to the junior organisers.

Did you notice who came 2nd in the under 8's race? Yes, Aalish Taggart (and she's only just 6, I think). Must be something in the genes.

Met MerryLegs going up to Dale Head and a few other forumites at the start. Shame I had to rush off to pick up and slightly injured but very cold wife in Hawkshead.
