Even as I type I'm seeing serious flaws in this game plan .
I have on my guestimate splits 38mins pen y gent, 1hr 35/1hr 40 as the split at Ribblehead. Whernside in 2hr 15 / 2hr 20 mins? Then 3hr 15 for top of ingleborough then 45 mins home. Will mean a 4 hour finish.

Sounds easy when I type it but like Stolly best laid plans and all that??

Like Stringman I shall be wearing my Inovate Flyrocks, comfy, and enough grip for this race.
Drinking plenty and hopefully keeping the dreaded cramp at bay.
Cramp has ruined my 5 previous attempts to get anywhere near a respectable time, although I always manage to finish the race.

That's ace! Since none of my family will be in attendance, what better way than to check on their old dad....

Crikey, hope I finish it now....

    Really looking forward to Saturday.
Run No 366 and running for Fenner Flyers, from Hull, where its as flat as a fart, my hill work usually consists of a few reps up and down the local fly-over so I know I'm gonna find it tough.
Managed 4hr 42mins last year, hoping to break 4:30 on Saturday, but my legs still feel heavy from London Marathon last week, so we'll have to see how it goes on the day, fingers crossed.
Excited though, in a nervous sorta way.

Did last year in 4hr 53. Would love this year to be do 4.30 or less. May be stick close to Stringman then - I seem to remember him overtaking me just after Hill Inn last year.
Did Anniversary Waltz in 2.25ish last weekend but was taking it fairly steady. Difficult to use that as a guide to my finishing time on Saturday though, since they're somewhat different fell races!
Will be a great day in any event - see you all there (NYM vest).

    Settle 5 day weather forecast

Wet but warmish with a couple of days of lubrication before hand. I have to say that the weather today has been lovely, after a mizzlely start, so the predictions of heavy rain might not be exactly reliable.
