Whats with this fell ponies business. I been running on my own for years, sometimes I'll look when a race is on and then run the course the day before, or the day after, cos I dont wanna run with a club, or even in a race. Now someone says we have a club thats not a club. A clubs a club even if its not a club.

Non club, club club - they all have one thing in common - CLUB. Its like i read you saying your vests arent t-shirts - well to me they are - they are club t-shirts, you'll be doing hoodies next.
So after saying all of that - how about you putting your money where your mouth is and doing a pre-club-race-club-non-club-club-club-day before race meet
