1st evening club summer run tonight from Hurst Green, 75 minutes through fields and woods on a lovely warm evening. 2 groups, probably about 40 runners in all, maybe swelled due to the subsidised food in the pub after.

Just under 7 mile on the roads tonight and ended up with a slight calf strain when nearly home. Will have to rest a couple of days now. Thats Mobberley out tomorrow.

Club run over winter hill from the carpark at the top of tockholes road about 8.5 miles. The view from winter hill was magical as we were descending, the sun was hitting anglezarke resr. turning it into a golden mirror.

Sorry I wasn't specific, that was an undulating 8 mile road run through Sunderland, starting at Barnes Park and running through the parks, up Sand Hill, along Fox Cover lane towards Herrington and back. Its not as hilly as round here but I used to call it hilly when I lived there.

It is fun revisiting runs from ones youth though.
