Fell Ponies??

No I didnt join just to have a dig at Fell Ponies - I was intrigued by them as I would never had joined a forum to talk to normal clubbers so i did join to try and see what held you together - then i got a bit worried that you all knew each other anyway and had planned a crappy club in the pub. Dont think you are, but i'm best sticking to myself as i dont make good company

I've been running for a few years, quietly and avoiding twats in clubs who used to try and talk to me because I fitted into their "uniform". I've been away for a few years - but now I'm back and in that time forums and fell ponies have really taken off. Must admit I was a bit off with you all and apologies are offered on that part, but as you all recognise we're all twats that do this - i'll keep reading but keep quiet. but if i meet master or merrylegs on the snowdon race they'll see what a kukri is for

Dear Scampi,
I am really not understanding why you are taking time out of your life to come on here just to make comments like the one in that last sentence of your statement.
I have been hill walking for a number of years now and have spent many days in the hills on my own. I started to add a bit of running to it last year to train for an event I was doing with some work pals and have wanted to improve on my time from there. I don't have much confidence but braved to enter a few races this year and found it very very daunting being there on my own, (until I met some Ponies in the bar afterwards!) as I didn't know whether or not I would even keep up with the last person! I joined this forum and the Fell Ponies because I need a bit of encouragement and tips on how to do better. I can't join a 'club' because of my working hours. I am not very good or very fast but I was welcomed with much friendliness by people on here, and they are all very willing to give good advice. Don't knock it! Each to their own

Moving on ,,,,, MG will it be safe to cycle through Northallerton tomorrow afternoon on my way to Knaresbrough to pick my car up. That Blue flash that went past me at Guisborough (and that was only on the car park) should be parked up at work I assume .

I can assure you it will be very safe to cycle in my town tomorrow! My car will sadly be parked up in York for 12 hours so just make sure you're gone by 9pm and you'll be ok!!! It's been fantastic the past 2 days driving around with my top off!
