    Ras Cader Idris

Wasn't able to do Moel Elio so might do this instead. Any one done this race and recommend it? Does it need to be recced or can you just wing it?
    Thanks

For what it's worth - did this race last year for the first time - follow the crowd. It's we marshalled / marked so no reccy required.

It was a great race with fantactic view from the top (I like a race where you can see (more / less) not only the start and the finish, but also the whole of Cardingan Bay! The main hazard was the decending leaders (while I was still working my way up), but you even got a sweetie at the top. Plus, a big start / finish in the town centre.

I'm gonna have a bash at this - is it an up and down route like Snowdon? Full kit?

How do Crowhill, nice race but it does have a bit of road and trail at the start and finish, enough to make your teeth rattle in your head when going back down to the village. I would say no recce needed for this one, plenty of runners and ok for an experienced runner. Really great atmosphere as there is a drum troupe playing in centre of village, makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!

I would offer you a lift but will have all the family as we are staying up on Anglesey for a week (will try and talk joanne into standing around so I can do Carneddau the following saturday, I live in hope!!!).

Couple of us from Calder there last year but not many so might see you there.

    With regards
