Nice to meet you before the race Richard. Hope the pics are as good as Ravenstone!

I managed to sink to waste depth in a bog and had to lie down and wriggle like a worm to get out. Then did a gambole on the descent. Disappointed that I had to walk so much on the way up.

Good race today really enjoyed it. Thanks to Des for phoning after the race to check my finishing position and get me in the results!

I don't think you can say this wasn't a 'proper' fell race today, I've never seen so much blood at the end of a race, lots of people with cuts in lots of places. There was folk goin' down all over the place. The sprint finish where the runner went down me and Mrs Barry had to look away.

all the photos now online - no blood, but lots of knackered looking faces

If anyone wants any for their local paper/s, let me have the email address of the person responsible for athletics reports at the paper or the sports desk [if you don't know either the name of the paper might be enough - googles great for finding most], the image/s you want sending [plus name, club etc - not all numbers are visible].

    [email protected]

Brilliant pictures BUT why do I always have to be pulling a cr***y face? Why can't I look cool, athletic etc etc? Looks as though someone has stuck a poker up my bum!

Sorry, I am just migrating the whole Rochdale site (500MB) to a new server at snail FTP pace. Thought it take a day or so for the old one to vanish, giving time for the new one to upload. Just keep checking back and hopefully it won't take too long to upload and the old link should then mysteriously work.

I have bunged a copy of results 1 and 2 here

That runner was me! I sit here now typing with one hand due to a cast on the other for the broken bone in my wrist! But what the hell, I really enjoyed the race!

Another version of a photo on the main site - been playing around, zoomed in view for those who ran up the steps

Sorry to hear about the wrist Wrecker, but a great pub story!

It diid look a spectacular fall, i'm pretty sure you beat the other fella you were sprinting with and you did have a huge smile on yer face (just before you went down).

Hope the cast dosen't stop you running to much.
