That's the spirit, as Merrylegs would probably say.

Sorry to hear about all your probs. Might be joining you in misery corner as the Injury Fairy visited me last night. Went for a short run, felt nowt but woke up with what feels suspiciously like a bit of a groin strain.

Yes of course. I have recommended myself a course of Golden Pippen beer followed by a flaggon of Pinot Grigio tonight. That should sort it.......... but if it doesn't I may have to increase the dosage.

Sorry to hear about all these injuries, particularly those afflicting fellow Ponies.
MG - I don't want to dampen your spirits, but a mate of mine sustained a stress fracture of a bone in his foot doing the 3 Peaks last year, and it wasn't a quick recovery. I understand that 4-6 weeks immobilisation is usually necessary before a stress fracture of a metatarsal heals. It's not worth taking short cuts and finishing up being out for longer. Are you getting professional advice about what to do?
Anyway, bad luck and I hope it mends asap.

The W'dale is 7th June... high hopes I know, but like you I'll not rest! I will still do it if I can.
Broke my 2nd metatarsal years back, in pot for 3 weeks, still managed to get out on my bike, where there's a will there's a way, good luck MG, your a trooper

    Hi TF,
Yeah have seen 2 doctors, one said soft tissue damage, but the other could see a very faint fracture line on my xray. So I guess I was being optimistic about it not being a stress fracture. However it's been a week since I did it and it still hurts. Suppose I've just been hoping it was the first option and it would feel better by now. Been advised not to run for 6 weeks! I can't put any pressure on the front of my foot at the mo so running and cycling is off for now. I suppose I'm in denial and hoping it's going to be back to normal soon. Thought I'd be out running again by now!
How is your PF coming along...feeling any better?

    MG,

My girlfriend has the same thing, she has had it for about 6 weeks now. It felt better after 4 weeks so she did the Manchester 10k on it. Its now back to being painful again. So I would just give it time and a little bit more time.

Its a real s**t being laid up when the sun is shining and evenings are long. though is'nt it.

Im going to the pool tonight
