Well organised and friendly, so thanks to all the organisers, marshals, fellow runners and spectators who gave encouraging words.

Disappointed with my time of just over 5hours but something to aim for next time. Not feeling confident about Ennerdale now, but think I will try anyway.
its all good time on feet.

Great course, fantastic support along the route. Really appreciated the fruit pastille thingys at Walna scar road. My first fell race of this distance so didn't know what to expect, other than pain and suffering, but really enjoyed it.

Posted the application for Ennerdale and Borrowdale today and now can't wait for those.

Jason, will contact you soon for a recce of the Arrochar Alps if it's still okay. Well done on saturday, see you at ennerdale.

I think you were just ahead of me all along the final ridge Mud. I really struggled there in the heat. Red shoulders with a distinctive bladder mark in white. Fetching!

Recced Ennerdale with Baggins, Huw and Moo (how was the race?) and mostly its long with 2 killer climbs after half way. I am not sure if I will make it with the tight cut offs but have to have a try.

I'll jog round the Arrochar route this Sunday in training (I feel I have to before I ask folk to race it) and hopefully see you at Ennerdale.

speaking of cutoffs how will that work at ennerdale? Hopefully quite flexibly like at duddon, those cut off schedules made no sense to me at all. I missed most of them but found I hit one or two early and later on.

Along the final ridge, did we chat briefly about the final fell (you asked if we had about 2 mile to go)? Think I shrugged and swore at that big b"%**d still to climb?

Thanks. I couldn't remember what his real name was (he didn't put it on the entry form so we Bloggsed him).

I came by to mention that the results are up properly now and some pictures are on flickr, but I see you've been there already. The pictures will be tagged properly some time later this week when I get the time. Let me know if there's anything else we should be doing there.

    see you at ennerdale,

    will

    Hi wrross,

Nothing you or anyone could do to make the race more enjoyable and well organised. A great day out

Great releasing the results so fast, great to have immediate splits and realise how fast I set off and how slow I finished compared to everyone else and great to have loads of piccies up straight away.

Only thing I ask is for someone to provide a bit of light drizzle and a few clouds. Don't think thats too much to ask.

Yep, half man, half sloth. You can only tell by my long toenails and hairy legs and the speed I go up the hills (more sloth than human)
