Is this one pre-entry like the Downfall was? Just been granted a pass out. I thought I was on baby duty all weekend so hadn't planned anything.

Matt - don't bother with Mars Bars, just stick to a couple of Jelly Babies every 20 mins or so (advice given to me from several long distance specialists) When did you turn to the 'Darkside' then Matt?

Not sure what the weather will do this weekend, but if it's dry road shoes are a must.

I agree with Phil, a gel and a few jelly babies, I find chocolates too heavy if you are going fast( not that I'm as fast has Phil or Matt)

Phil, Matt was encouraged to join the Dark Side by a very friendly Forumite

    Re: Kinder Trog

Picked up on this race really late and was wondering if someone can give me some advice?

Was meant to be doing Ennerdale tomorrow but twisted my ankle a couple of weeks ago and it doesn't feel up to 6 hours of rough fell running. What's the terrain like on this race, in terms of ankle turning!?! I've done a couple of runs in the Peaks which have been rough and tussocky, but then also done the Edale skyline route which was pretty ok underfoot (apart from the bogs).

If it's not too bad, might come and give this a go. Never been up on the Kinder plateau at all before.
