Results from today's race now posted:

    Wicken Hill Whizz 2008

With the team prize, Garry Traviss wasn't originally down as Halifax Harriers but I think he might be one. If so, then Halifax actually won the team prize by one point. I'll need to check tomorrow.

The marshal did comment on this back in the pub... he wasn't sure exactly what he'd done to upset you!!

Gary Traviss is deffo a Halifax Harrier, he may have omitted this on registration as he didn't bring his vest with him. It was in the wash, he smells, i know this for sure as i've shared a tent with him. Check from a distance Bill

What to do - I cannot decide I am first in the vet 40's for those of us doing the series (though it is very close indeed) but it is Buckden pike today and a club championship race . (which I have no hope and winning but it is always fun to race against you team mates).

Oh what to do (also the title of a Buddy Holly song)

A top 10 finish for Antisocial well run Sir.

I did give you a shout while warming up but we were traveling in opposite directions.

Another good event and many thanks must go to James Logue who took almost the whole field on a fine route through heather and slop and then won the race by over 7 minutes

Thanks stagger and Merry, I have not seen any results so i assume the top 10 finisah was the Bog's race. I would be more pleased if three had not passed me on the sprint in to the finish.

Look forward to seeing you both tommorrow.

But it was a nice race and atmosphere - my performance was crap though I had nothing in my legs.

    Hi Merrylegs
I was that marshall taking the gob, or very near to it!
Seriously though, at least I will never forget that moment, a great tale I have told my friends over and over (last 20 hours) at Calder valley and Todmorden.
No offence taken though mate, hope you enjoyed the race, compared to today, the conditions on the top marshalling were very pleasurable.
