    You're right there.
Three of us did the second half yesterday and there were two ladies doing the same thing.

Marvin and I each have the new map that has been produced. It's well worth £2.50 but not that much extra info if you already know the basic route. I am hoping to find the route it suggests from Lose Hill which appears to avoid the horrible descent of Back Tor by descending to the path through the woods.
I hadn't realised that was an option.

I think I can get us round. Stagger and I even got across to Brown Knoll in the clag yesterday! The only problem you will have is having to wait for me to catch up all the time!

Lovely day for a recce after a rubbish Friday. Saw more runners than walkers. I presume you saw mine and Dave Taylors little message in the snow for you Slippery?

I'm sure I recall that you're required to take that route? (ie not along the ridge top and down the loose path on Back tor) I seem to recall it being a flagged bit of route?

Thanks everyone (Daz, Swoop, Twig, Castlehill and Fellmonster) for playing out today, but particularly to Swoop for pointing out the route options for us. 19.8 miles and 3794ft ascent.

As you say, Daz, It was heaving out there today with other fell runners.

Thanks lads. I really enjoyed that especially the easier route from Lose Hill to Mam Tor.
What a nice bunch of people we have on the forum!
Just got back from Total Fitness where I feel fully recovered following a sauna,
    hydrotherapy and foot baths.
