We did hear a good tale of Tussocks Rydal round which i feel should he share with you all is well worth a read, challenging to say the least!!!!!

FellMonster, Tussockface was a Geordie for the day only, Bradford is nearly your neighbour (re-NE nags)

I shouldve known.....I posted him a vest a while back....had to write his address with my own fair hand......what a ballbag I am.

good luck Dan, enjoy! It's a bit of a slog to the Tor, but worth it to blast down the descent. Like Swoop, I quite enjoy the final sting in the tale

Doing Pendle Cloughs on Sat (if my bloody ankle gets better ) Any other ponies having a trot?

    Thanks Pudgy.
Wasn't best pleased seeing that 'sting' last year, my knees were shot to bits well before that little surprise.

Can't afford Hayfield certainly not THAT one!
Looking in the area Chinley/Buxworth up again this weekend to view another one, then walk/running the Skyline route with the wife.

    Good luck at Snowdon.

DanAzz - Have you seen the Dark & White Mini Mountain Marathons ?

3-hour "score" type events - I'm seriously considering the first one on Sept.14th...

I was looking at doing some next year, I need to brush up on my navigation so they seemed quite a good event for me to do, not really planned for this year as up until 2 weeks ago we didn't know where we would be living.
If you want a partner for the first event, I can ask my social secretary for permission Not sure what we have on in September but I know she wants to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks but I don't know the dates yet.

Dan - there's a thread for the D&W Mini MM's under Races (down a page or 2) - we can use that if/when we decide what we're doing in September...

    Re: Fell Ponies??

Have you guys (Fell Ponies) thought of becoming affiliated? We (Fat Boys) have / are discussing this. One benefit would be that we could enter a team in the FRA relays. A down side is that we have 'members' who are also members of 'real' i.e. affiliated clubs and could see our affiliation causing problems with dual membership and possibly destroying what we have. We are essentially a fun loving club but with some serious runners in our midst very similar to you guys I think.

    Any thoughts, opinions etc.
