    Its not for Ponies

Im sure we'd like to have a go at the relays but there's always Calderdale and the Mary Townley loop etc. I only race on the fells so the unattached levy isnt a problem for me and i know quite a few Ponies are also members of "real" clubs too.

Fat Boys has to be one of the coolest clubs already, why are you thinking of affiliation?
Partly so we can enter a team in local races and of course the 'FRA' relays. Talked about it on and off with some strongly in favour, some strongly against but most not really caring but quite liking things as they are.

Who? Where? I've not met a serious pony yet (have you seen those vests?)

I don't think affiliation is worth bothering with, just to get into the UKA relays. For the other relays it's up to the disretion of the organiser. I had a quick chat with Scoffer about the Ian Hodgesons. He's quite happy for the Ponies to enter, but the race is usually over subscribed, and he wouldn't want to kick out an established team who have continually supported the relays, to make room for us (or any other new applicants)

Calderdale and MTL should be ok to enter a team. Anybody fancy the Cross Keys in Saddleworth http://saddleworth-runners.co.uk/ind...crosskeysrelay

Thats normally a good laugh. Two legs on the road, two legs on the fell (good job Ponies have got four legs eh?)

Why was your application rejected? Did you have to send the minutes of the meeting you held to propose affiliation? (that was my favourite stipulation)
