It was Binnsy from Oxnop.Similar hairstyle to ML! Cracking fell race. Managed to whistle 3 runners back when they missed the turn up to the trig. Unfortunately 3 of the lost boys caught me up ,pushing me down to 9th; but hey! Not bad for a fat lad!

I.E. no hair? Have witnessed this fat lad running a few times, he can shift. Well impressed with him

Not bad at all!! Top ten finisher, no excuses from me. A cracking little fell race with a bit of everything.

Thanks to all at Tod, unfortunately kids went away disaapointed as dog racing had been cancelled due to water logged field!!

Never mind we will be back next year.

There was never a dog race.Ur wife and son were having the kids on, but you fell for it more than they did.!!!!! How small do you think the jockies would have been?

That said despite being an FRA member since 1997 I've only averaged about 10 races of any type (fell,trail, xc, multi-terrain) per year for various reasons -usually injury.

Must admit I probably only manage about 10 events a year myself. Mainly lack of time / work / family etc........Enjoy them all though.

First 8 runners or so went wrong on the moor (including a couple of Tod's) - I think AG may have been among them so he may well relate the story later.

I certainly was. It was a shame, as not putting a marshal or tape on an obvious turning point, spoilt what was otherwise a well organized race.

We overshot the right turn up to the trig point and descended down into a large field for a few minutes. A few of us then somehow realized, and we had to kind of cut diagonally up this steep hill (by which time half the field had past us). The trouble was, not only was it up hill, but over knee high grass and tussock. Meanwhile, we could see the rest of the field pulling away, running along a nice cut out path!

The real winner did well to pull himself back to third - he must have had an awesome run! We reckoned he'd probably lost around 6/7 mins as he was a good minute in front of the last ones to go wrong.

And the best bit is, he'd driven up from Devon, slept in his car the night before and is racing again today....

If the turing point was obvious then no marshal was necessary...a fell race is not a cross country race.
