Was on nights but managed to squeeze in Pendleton between Fri & Sat night. Done it 4 times now and never really had a good one although I enjoyed it. About 5 people asked if I was going to the pub after (lovely village free house with benches outside and it was sunny) but I had to shoot off to work. Bastards

Ady, sorry to hear news of threat of redundancy. I had three in around five years a while ago and it's horrible. The 1st time I was 35 and had been in the factory half my life. I know it sounds trite but something will come up. In fact the 1st time was the best thing that ever happened to me. My life and work are so much better now than they were then. Good luck!

thanks Ady, pleased with the run out must have been the long Ingleborough run that helped! glad you are being philosophical about the job, maybe the sideways move is the sensible option if it comes off as will give you time to look elsewhere if need be?
