Not a new article but it gives a great breakdown of the tech issues. I'm def into Super LED now and concerned that even the bike mags (not generally known for being critical of kit) have reservations about Exposure reliability so, unless anybody knows better, they're off the list.

I use a rather old set of NiCad Lumicycles. For years these were the weapon of choice for night time mountain bikers. Their newer offerings are quite good too: http://www.lumicycle.com/pages/default.aspx
Ayup 08 Multisport gets a good review in latest issue of Singletrack magazine. £149 too, which sounds half reasonable
Another thumbs up here for the Ay-Up lights, I use the MTB set.
An added bonus is that if you get the optional headband then you can also use the lights for running. Although if you go for the Roadie kit you will also need to factor in the cost of a 3hr battery pack to fit the headband.
