The rain had started over here on the western side but it never came to anything (yet). Good luck all of you who are out there at the bog monster's mercy. May the rain have the decency to hold off until you've finished enjoying yourselves. I look forward to hearing how you got on.

'Ow do all. Back from the bog fest known as G&BI. Windy but no real rain today, extremely heavy going underfoot from Cut Gate along Outer Edge that (I found) was really energy sapping. I was slower by 8 mins than last year.

Good to meet forumites there, lots o' DPers, Ginge Whinge, Manhar, MartyMcFly etc. and IanDarkPeak keeping watch in the middle of nowhere(!).

Ace effort - thanks to all at WMRT, Plumbum and all the volunteers. Ta for the nosh and juice!

Well done jodg. It seems the forecast rain never materialised today. It still hasn't set in even now. You were all so lucky.

well done to all those WMRT members who were prepared to stand out on the hill today.

many thanks also to the ladies in the barn for putting on such a food spread

wet underfoot and very windy at times today, resulting in around 4 mins slower for me today than 2 years ago. great event....not to be under estimated

Thumbs up Re: Grin 'n' Bear it 2008

Thank you to Plumbum & the WMRT for an well organised race & Ian for sterling work in diverting people away from the Bogmonster. Was going Ok for the 1st 12 miles but ran out of gas on the trail - not ran this distance recently & thought I could busk it - will have to return next year in order to get nearer to 2hrs 30.
Good to see 1 or 2 forumites whom I've not seen recently.

Not so bad for you Darren! well done on winning the race.

Lot's of Forumites out today, madeline was there with Graeme B as well as many others.

I had to pull a few people out including one walker whose wife was worried he was going under I used a throw line to pull him out though.

We had a rain between the walkers and the runners. Well done to the 6 year old( I'm told) who completed the long course!

Results should be up in a day aro so with about 200 pictures.

    Ian

Yup, I passed the nipper with his dad near Lasche crossing. Well done!

Congrats to Darren who positively flew round today.
