I am currently working on becoming an old phart, taking a year by year approach to it, it's coming slowly but i'm confident i'll get there in the end

The right track is keeping on the right side of your missus otherwise that coming slowly will be coming quicker than you think and I wouldn't be overconfident about getting there in the end..
