Ark at you, yer pedant. getting all high & mighty since your Grime & Rarebit victory. Mind you, some of us have been selected by our respective clubs for competition at the Relays this w/e!!!

Last nights training didn't involve t' Winter H'cap but rather a faceful of curry & fizzy lager in Denby Dale. Just off to do a spinning class to spin out some spices.

Well Mr Whinge - last nights handicap involved taking part in said, followed by a facefull of curry for some in't local curry house. So you see you can combine usefull training with spicy delights - missed out there ha ha

It did cross my mind Miss Piggie but the 7.15 Penistone Line departure from t'Common just did not give me enuff leeway given my appallingly unfair h'cap time!

Other training this week - Mon 1 hour Pilates; Tues spinning class; Wed technique swim; Thurs 1hr30 hilly ride RPE3. Hmm not much running in evidence - been a bit tired since the Woodland Challenge last Sun. A belting course btw with superb organisation. Had your Beanz and Smash yet??

    Re: Today's Training

Pete you should have been at the wed street O on Wed not running on lonely canal tow paths. 60 or 75 mins of fast running plus some navigation practice! Jim ran and kept up with the boys and Robyn ran with Bob learning to navigate.
Also Harriers were down on the docks training last night - where were you.

Good Luck for relays. ( next street O is Chorley next wed)

Mon & Tues: just bike commute c12 mile round trip - got a drenching on homeward journey Tuesday
Wed:too many trains between Leeds, London & Reading
Thurs: 5.3 miles roads - preparing forthe dark nights
Today: a day off work so c12.5 miles/1800ft (125mins) - Simon's Seat & Hazlewood Moor from Storiths - up via riverside paths and Valley of Desolation, then from SS to Lord's Seat & various moorland tracks to/over Hazlewood Moor - longest run for ages - loved it

Greenfield - Chew Res - Laddow (stood on Laddow at 6.30am in the dark and swirling mist, brilliant ) - Chew Res - Wimberry (descent) - Plantation - Greenfield....

Brilliant morning's run started in the dark and caught the sun rising through the mist whilst heading back over to The Chew
