Yes it is quite pricey but it's the dogs danglies very light and easy to run in it doesn't make that rustly noise which was something I couldn't have stood for longer distance running and the material is very comfortable.

I can confirm the above though that yes most people do only carry them but from experience that yes if you have a fall/accident etc and are rendered incapable of maintaining a run to at least keep warm the trousers are essential - it also helps to have someone around to help you put them on after your hands have become completely useless because of the cold!!

There we have emmi's top tip for kit - a decent pair of gloves!!
Where did you get that top tip from

Darth, they were waterproof at the ovvernight camp and it was nice to put em on top of dry tights after the soaking we got in the day ...however I haven't run in em for hours on end in the pouring rain...I find I don't need waterproof trousers when running whatever the weather as my hairy legs combined with 3/4 length tights do the job nicely.

What are good about these is they weigh virtually nothing and pack down very small into their own inbuilt pocket as lets face it 90% of the time you put em in your bumbag thats where they'll stay

Ive just saved myself £20 .

Using my sisters bobble , i folded my thick waterproof trousers up nice and tight, wrapped the bobble round and i can fit both my jacket and pants into one of the two compartments in my bumbag

What kind of stuff do you all carry for 'first aid'.

Darth mentions a space blanket and i usually carry plasters - and tape if my heel goes.

In a mountain marathon I always take a few compeed blister plasters and they always get used!! antiseptic wet wipe, bit of antiseptic cream and an ankle strapping
