Friday 21st sounds like a goer to me!

The sum total of my BG-recce'ing experience currently stands at half of Leg 4, so Leg 1 would be fine

I intend to take a day off work, which I can do at short notice, but would probably want a half-decent weather forecast before I did so

Possibly just Sunday though Saturday's possible race would only be as a guest.

I could be up for this... I have done Leg 1 counter clockwise... as a loop from the Latrigg carpark... worked well, would like to do it the other way around

listen, if I want to get cold, wet and muddy I can do that on my local park!
if I'm gonna have a day off work and drive up to the Lakes and back, I at least want to be able to SEE the bloomin hills!

I'm still game for Leg 1 on Fri.21st, and was also going to suggest Latrigg car-park, although anywhere around Keswick would be easy enough to meet up I guess...?

    DTS,
I can meet anywhere. What time you thinking we should set off at? I'm driving over that morning so not sill o'clock! Think we'll get wet feet even if we can see the hills

Hannelle, all welcome, so great if you can make it.

MXhornet, thinking of setting off about 10 on Sunday (there's a couple of friends driving over that morning who can't get there before then). That ok with you?

Booked into the YH in Keswick for Fri and Sat with two mates if anyone is round for the whole wend?
I'm so sad... I'm a bit giddy about it all!

I was planning to go up next weekend, but still recovering from a sprained ankle, so now it is looking like the weekend after, so yes, looks like a go-er!

Trying to get the Friday off as well, so I get full benefit out of the long drive up, as I will be coming from South Wales! May book myself into the Keswick YH as well and will let you know when I know for sure what my plans are.

IC - got your PM - will get back to you, so can organise time/place...

am now thinking that although we don't really need to do Moot Hall to Latrigg (from a recce'ing point of view) - it would be nice to do the whole of Moot Hall to Skiddaw to get a better idea of the schedule time for that section...
    (see - you're not the only one who's sad/giddy!)

and you're right - I think we would get a special award from the Bob Graham Club if we could get round Leg 1 in November without getting our feet wet!

    Re: learning BGR sections

    Hi,

Just picked up on this thread, I'm also hopinh to make an attempt in June 2009 to celebrate my 30th, unfortunately I can't make the 21st as I have already made plans to do the three peaks that day but I have Fridays off work and am planning to use this to my advantage.
