Hello
Looks like the usual suspects then?
I am relatively new to this forum... so just starting to get to know you all...
I have to say, I am very proud of my first fell running scars
Done a little more than the one race now though, then again, I am a bit manic... I think hmmm, fell running, and promptly run all races in the South wales Summer series plus some long ones elsewehere... bit mad
I am carp at maths though...
I do feel right at home, I admit it![]()
Evening Onehill, How ya doing?
An example that proves both the scar and my madness:
I was tripped up at the start of Man v. Horse earlier in the year... I fell on my knees and top of my shins, it hurt! I almost fainted but tried to keep moving... I wasn't going to give up in the first mile of a 22 mile race now, was I??? So after a couple of miles things eased off a bit and I finished the race all right. I joined some of my friends who had already finished to wait for those who had not yet... and they pointed at the top of my left shin.
There was a huge swelling and lots of bruising and when I touched it, the tibial tuberosity was actually floating on top of my shin oh dear, I had fractured it!!! It even squeeked a little when touching it... my (male) friends were all grossed out and insisted I'd go to the first aid people and A&E... but a just had a pint and an icecream and all was well :-) But now I have this HUGE lumpy tibial tuberosity sitting on top of my shin... ah well...![]()
