The New Regulated version of the Myo XP, cunningly called the Myo RXP is even better than the standard XP. As usual it's brighter and has a longer burn time than the standard XP. I have always preferred a regulated headtorch so it's a great development. I had a Princeton Tec Apex but the RXP is better.
I have also used a Hope Vision 4 lately but it would be unfair to compare them. £80 against £250
Hey TriathlonStu, what is the Hope like? My wife has stupidly said I can have a Petzl Ultra for Christmas. Don't feel i can justify the cost, however she is quite happy as she has been working extra recently. The Hope looks amazing, but is it comfortable. Might settle for the new XP.

Mark, my S.O. is nothing like as generous as your's. So I don't have first hand personal experience of the Vision 4 or the Ultra; but speaking as an electrical engineer who gets a tad geeky about head torches, I'd go for the Vision 4 every time. Pricewise they are in the same ball-park (£250-£300) but the Vision 4 puts out 960 lumens from 4 LEDs against the Ultra's 280 from 6 LEDs. This is because Petzl use a moulded plastic case ( presumably for the ease of mass production ) and cannot afford to drive the LED's at max power for fear of overheating. Hope house their LED's in a beautifully machined aluminium case that acts as a heat-sink and thus allows the LEDs to be driven at their maximum, if you choose the highest setting.

Mark, I've just looked at the Petzl Ultra website. I was quoting from memory when I wrote that the Ultra's output was 280 lumens; it is 350. So the Vision 4 has 2.57 times as much output for the same money. But it will not appear to be 2.57 times as bright to your naked eye. The lumens scale is exponential, thus it will appear to be the square root of 2.57 - about 1.6 times as bright to your naked eye.

Still not sure whether to go for the HOPE or the Petzl. Like the extras you get with the HOPE, including an extension cable.
The Vision 4 is a better light and a more versatile system, the key to it being the metal finned body rather than plastic as someone else said but i disagree about the headstrap being great. It's not bad but needs a little modification to be called comfy. Not as good as Petzl headstraps. I am using a Silva headstrap with mine.
That being said the light is awesome
