About 8 miles, 4000 feet I think someone said?

Fantastic day Good to catch up a few who were last year, and to meet new faces.

Cheers to Amex for refusing to call it organising but still thowing the whole thing together, coming up with a route to run, getting us all round, booking the curry and going off checking The Loft was going to be open when we got the disastrous news from the waiters that it'd be shut...

The run was good, weather a tad breezy and in cloud a lot of the time but didn't spoil the fun too much, just made that first pint at the pub even more worth looking forward to. Pre curry drinks with people not in lycra any more was good, curry was top nosh, but for some reason needed quite a bit of washing down after

We more than doubled the numbers in The Loft when we arrived, but it did eventually get fairly busy. I wasn't the only one dancing away all evening, BoomRumble&Roar was on the stage with me. Amex was making a few good shapes early on too.

Escaped a hangover, just a bit tired this morning, I have no idea what could have caused that. Got my Christmas shopping down at York designer outlet on the way home too, I was expecting it to be heaving but it was really quiet.

Make sure you make your diary for next year!

Oh and 'fatty' that was trying to get Al to dance turned out to be from Rosthwaite and some part of the Bland clan, so they aren't all elite fellrunners.

It seems funky house and club classics means chart pop.

Yeap, the funky house classics where abit of a let down......i didnt know leona lewis was funky house.

We managed to get one song requested out of about 15 which amex's mate wrote down and handed to a rather grumpy female dj.....Champagne Supernova.....the entire club was singing the words (all nine of us anyway )

And that's before we'd even made up our minds what we were going to order to eat...

    SORRY
Had a bit of a domestic issue to sort so could'nt join you.
Really glad you all had a good time - the pics are great.

Merrylegs - Me, the Master, FFS!!! Don't forget spacing and movement, and these days one has to be so careful about emission control and just how hot things get; that Ti can get you into all sorts of trouble.

You must have all used up the Lakes allowance of runners for Christmas; the place has been empty all week - Kentmere HShoe today and only one other runner all the way around.

Happy Christmas and New Year to you all.

    Al,

Yes, I am short of time so kind of rolled a couple of comments into one - sorry to offend. Your suspision could be more wrong but only if it involves royalty or a senior religious chap with no wife!
I promise you that I am absolutely not a split personality on this or any other forum - just me.

    Hugs,
