    kids

Had my sisters kids this weekend, I had no idea.
3 x kids two boys one girl. Decided to take them to Magna near Sheffield .
Stopped at Wooly Edge services girlfriend needed toilet. 10 puid on sweets and drinks.
Get to Magna 34 puid . Lunch at magna 24 pounds. On the way home eldest boy felt sick, stopped for fresh air, thanks I feel much better, just to be on the safe side I let eldest sit in the front so he can have the window down. Driving down Wakefield road eldest pukes all over him self and car dash, floor the lot. Kids in the back start laughing, I’m nearly barffing. Pull into car park at Cineworld, 2 pounds, clean up eldest and throw towel over puke. Drive home, tea time comes round and all three kids want different meals 18 pounds in CoOp . Bed time thank god , I’m on sofa as two boys in spare room and girl with girlfriend in our room. Wake up at 8 and cook breakfast, drive over to cow and calf and run around like loons, other half not looking happy but me and kids having great time it’s free, muddy, hilly and nothing can get broken, it starts to rain so we leave. Drive other to Black Horse, drinks and carvary 44 pounds. Drive back to sisters stopping at shop for sweets, 3 pounds. So I make that 135 pounds that’s not including petrol or what it will cost to have the car cleaned. I’m having second thoughts about kids.

Is it always like this, i feel like i've been on a spin cycle for the last 24 hours and my other half has gone to bed.

Just like to point out that the kids said out of everything they enjoyed Ilkley Moor the best which just gos to show when you can pull them away from the playstation for an hour or two it does them the world of good it was raining windy and cold and they still didn't want to leave.

See you at Hare and Hounds on Weds CobbyD...sounds like you deserve a night out

p.s. But it does sound like quite a typical kid's weekend though.

p.p.s. And sorry to say, but your tale of woe did make me smile!

cobbydale you would learn on the money side , its an easy mistake to make
never ask them wot they want
    they will always want different
ive stopped countin the cost, it will only drive you insane
i once took 30 kids to pizza hut

Not sure of David's experience but in mine, I reckon you're right that daughters cost more in direct costs, but indirect costs for my 3year-old step-son are huge - especially repair cost. Little sod breaks every he looks at and when he touches anything...

Surely he's old enough to start walking everywhere now???

Why not make him clean the car next time he puts mud in it???
