Well my sad activities from walking through the door usualy start with my sister asking me what position i came literally the second i walk through the wall, my mum watching me with eagle eyes so i dont dirty everything. And my dad telling me i didnt do well enough haha.
Bath/Shower.
Patch up wounds and take painkillers.
Eat/Drink.
Come on the forum to find my position and time - and have a look at the mug-shots people have got of me and everyone else i know.
Work out my average mile speed from what ever google brings up by typing "average minute per mile".
Start to ache and stiffen up.
I also seem to keep my numbers as a sort of momento - i even put them on my wall.

Yes that works for many, but not for all, and presupposes a pre-existing level of something that I can't find a word for but I suspect fell runners instinctively have.
It doesn't work for others and I suspect again the large number of unecessary call outs for MRTs to walkers is as a result of that approach without the someting I can't find a word for.
But that's another debate entirely!
As for the observations about climbing wall country - spot on.
Walking thru walls? It's official, Al Fowler is ghost!
Gumption? Cojones? Balls? Stupidity?
MRT love call outsIt doesn't work for others and I suspect again the large number of unecessary call outs for MRTs to walkers is as a result of that approach without the someting I can't find a word for.It gives them a chance to get up in the fells with all their equipment, land rovers and whatnot and better still all go down the pub after!
