Bingley were 9th in 2006, where Holmes and Jebb came storming past me on leg 2 on the way to setting the leg record. Yes, nice to see P&B back, and it's the first time since the inaugural event in 2004 they've entered an 'open' team rather than just mixed. Although their mixed team is spelled out with capital letters on the entries list, so maybe that's where the high expectations are.

I fully recommend closing all the gates behind you on leg 1. It helps keeps the next team firmly at bay.

A recce is definately reccommended......leg 4 although well waymarked is not that obvious.......not to do a recce is risking shortcutting which generates resentment from other teams, it is the shortest leg and an out and back recce is not a problem aleviating the need to leave a car at the other end.

Pike you read way too much into the cunning minds that may or may not belong to P&B

You'll be fine. The mixed team finished 30th last year so we'll have to see if we can better that.
