Cake recipes!
Following on from the fruit thread in health which quickly degenerated to be focused on cake (yum) I'd like to officially start the recipe thread. I'm temporarily without my cookbooks and would like to do some baking this weekend so please post your suggestions...
We need Emmilou's recipe again.
my slightly modified carrot cake recipe
2 cups self raisin flour
1 tbsp bakin powder
150 gramms butter
100 gramms brown sugar
2 large carrots, grated
mix flour, and bakin powder, melt butter and sugar then pour in flour and mix up, stir in carrots, pour in greased loaf tin
bake in pre heat oven at 160 for 1 hour until you can put a skewer in the middle and it comes out clean
use emmilous topping recipe

my mums cornflake cake recipe
3 oz butter
5 tbsp golden syrup
45ml carob powder
6 cups of cornflakes
melt butter and syrup in pan, stir in carob powder, GRADUALLY stir in cornyflakes so they are coated evenly, put in paper cases and leave to cool or devoure hot if you canna wait

tell you what chuck an egg in, long time since i gazed in awe at mrs bramley in cookery class
1984 in fact
i fixated over her to much one day whilst monitoring the bubbling toffee for toffee apples for bonfire night and i burnt it resulting in the lot burnt to a crisp and mrs bramley copper pots wrecked
as she was bollockin me i could help but think wow i would love to see your buns
