    Re: Today's Training

    (yesterday)
10 miles path road track and moor from home (N Sheff) to Moscar. Last 2 miles were track filled with crusty snow varying from ankle to arse deep curiously overlaying mud - horrendous.
Caught the last bus on the A57 with a minute to spare flagging it down with headtorch. Inside the it had Welcome to Dublin Buses on it and everything in Gaelic and English. Still it let me off in Sheffield wherever it came from and was going to.

17 miles or so steady mostly off road, injuries are holding so I thought I would concentrate on a bit of stamina building this weeked.

Oakworth Rd, Fell lane, valley bottom to Goose Eye, Millenium Way to Keighley Res and then Ponden Res, round the excellent Silent Ponden race route across Ponden Kirk, Bronte way to Bronte Bridge, Penistone, Haworth, Providence lane and home. Very icey still on tops.

Back on the big hill campaign

14 miles 4,400 ft Leg 3 of BG to just short of Great End before returning to ODG. Lots of snow high up but nothing in the valley. Longer report on BG thread.

Running along side were Kingsnail and Bluebike, would have been off earlier but we had to wait for BB to burn his Porridge....

Fell asleep as soon as I got home, so much for Valentines day

Trot over to Glossop pub to meet the parents. Lots of compacted snow on Stanage and Kinder, less so on Winhill. The Downfall was frozen solid attracting some intrepid ice climbers. Really impressive stalactites

Dont know distance or climb but took 5 hours and 40 minutes including a rest to chat to Mick Stenton and Roy Gibson on Kinder edge. The worst bit was the mile through Glossop by a country mile!

Just measured it at 25 miles, 2500' climb. Pretty flat if a bit rough in the cloughs. Get up to Kinder ASAP while its in its current amazaing state!

    Re: Today's Training

First run in a month due to my chest (all clear now thanks). 4 miles on flat roads. Had to keep stopping - felt like I'd never run before!

    Hardly worth posting! ....
