Great running by the HP Rollerbladers! Fantastic effort sounds like you pushed the Vasque North guys, I never cease to be amazed by your knowledge of the area! Almost tempting me to do it again sometime...

Good to spend a few hours with Stolly today, Also had a chat with IaiR course was decidedly wet and the visibility was totally zero around Back Tor and MH, There were runners every where. I'm glad I was a local.

Thanks to the thirsty runners today who bought 14 cases of the the 'Ale' making just over £110 for MR funds

    oops bad form

many thanks to Filthy Rich and his team for organising this I think

It is a special event and the marshalls are always chirpy and they need to be to be stationed in the middle of know where usually it bad conditions getting no sleep for the best part of the day.

    Cheers Guys

Overnight weather was fairly persistent drizzle and/or hill fog.
The bog monster was on holiday.
We didn't come last (but it was close).

    Time for bed...

Let's face it, Julien is like the human map when it comes to Bleaklow. I bet they never got the paper map out. Well done guys.

    Not once.

amazing on such featureless terrain, there's seemed just nothing to navigate off from after sheep fold clough to bleaklow.

My guide: Keep the edge of the ridge to your left .

I must admit I'm really glad I'de reccee'd all of that in daylight including the gully route up Bleaklow. I don't think the 'north west passage' is any quicker than following the stakes through the peat maze though. Even though my team may not necessarily have had any confidence in me I sort of felt I knew where the hell I was going last night.
