It sure is bleak and boggy up there (to put in mildly) but like any moor you care to mention alot of your perceptions of a place come from the outright toughness and outlandishness of the terrain, especially when your unfamiliar with it. I'd only been there once before, on a recce in grim weather, so I didn't have much to go on - and yes it did seem at the time an incredibly boggy, featureless wasteland of a shit hole first time round.

Now though it doesn't; its grown on me and I feel I know it better and more intimately. Not quite an ugly duckling turning into a swan yet but its getting there
I should think so too You should be up there on a summer evening as the sun goes down, I really need Wheeze to put the words together but it is beautiful. it is a desolate place though but come for the long run later in the summer and you'll see if different side to it.
Re beer, If anyone wants any I'll try and bring some to the Hobble.
