Well, it looks like I've failed in my race to get fit for this one. Picked up an ankle injury last month at Mickleden Straddle & I still haven't shaken it off. I'm sure I could get round, but long term I need to get fit for the summer.

Geoff were you the runner that twisted their ankle descending to Slippery Stones and needed driving back to Langsett? If so I passed you when you were nearing the bottom.

No, that wasn't me. I was going quite well there - up with Phil Winskill at that descent! I finished the race (hobbled the last couple of miles), but I'd badly bruised the bone. Not sure if I hit it on a rock, or kicked it with my other foot several times!
