Thanks to Martin, John L. & all the other helpers. What more could anyone ask for? Beautiful scenic fell country, a bright breezy day, a well organised, traditional, relatively low key fell race ( 101% open fell ), a homely local with good grub and excellent craic with some like minded guys & gals! A 6 strong contingent from N. Lancs ( Bowland, Clayton & U/A ) were using this event as Tim Kelly's 'stag do'. It was gone mid-night when we rolled out of the pub and there was a 20-30mm dusting of snow under a bright, clear & sunny sky when we clambered out of our vans & tent in the paddock behind the pub, this morning - an utterly superb & memorable weekend. Nice to be introduced to DazTheSlug and renew acquaintances with Swoop ( I'm asthmatic, and can't keep pace with the thoroughbreds - hence 'Wheezing Donkey' - thus I was "Swooped" ).
Martin, I never ran any of the previous courses at this event but yesterday's route was a little cracker, keep it just as it is!
