As I suggested earlier, the problem would be solved by a marshal, and that would be all round the best solution (though I'm not volunteering!).
Kinder Downfall had a similar problem with people going the wrong side of Swine's Back, some on purpose to get an advantage, and then others simply following because they didn't know the route. Dave added an unmanned checkpoint (punch your number) and problem solved, an end to agro and upset
At another race, the organiser can see if you've taken the illegal shortcut (intentional or not) from the finish and he disqualifies you at the finish, as I'm sure some of you'll remember reading about on this forum. That's what you call a bad solution to the problem![]()
