    Tues- club run over bowland. Around 5 miles fellfoot to fairsnape farm and up to fairsnape and back over parlick.
    Last night 9 miles country lanes and canal paths. Big Orange setting sun

    5 mile 1300ft first race in the local Monday Summer Series

    mostly over open moorland. from Strines Inn to Back Tor to John Field Howden enclosure round Cakes of bread and home agin for some Cock a Hoop.

    For a fat bloke (for I am again) did quite well. probably because I chose the best line rather than my prowess. 5th out of 25? in 51.21

    Jodg and Datt were there as were one or two other forumites.

    Well, for a "fat bloke" you were flying! I was only a minute behind you. It's those long legs of yours mate. Us short legged runners have a distinct disadvantage over moorland!

    my update is that after illness saga - did baildon boundary way on sunday and squeaked in under 2 hours with 1:56:47 - dead pleased - three peaks recce this weekend. :-)

    16 miles on Saturday over the North Downs, 1000m of ascent - 2hr 30m with much faffing ...

    then a speed session round the park yesterday: 7km in about 28 mins

    Went out today with the added bonus of legs of lead. felt terrible. really sluggish and had to walk lots

    Hopefully feel better for this weekend.
