    Re: Fellsman

It's Monday and I can just about walk. Really enjoyed the run and thanks to all the organisers. Quite a contrast from last year's run, especially liked the "special effects" of horizontal hail stones over Blea Moor.

The tent from the Cray checkpoint has apparently turned up in Bridlington.

Thanks to the guys we grouped with overnight (Irish couple and Nick) as we all kept each other going. The sprint finish from Yarnbury was a bit surreal, but it got us in in just a little over 17 hours.

P.S Merry - I wouldn't mind some training tips as I'd love to do this one next year.
    Cheers Stagger's,
Back home now after a fantastic weekend, many, many thanks to the organisers and all the checkpoint staff, your amazing folk. Massive thanks to Mrs.C for setting the pace and sticking with me the whole way round, and the other three folk we got grouped with at Cray, their navigation skills were excellent and much appriecated.
Got round in about 16h 45m i think, Blea Moor was the worst bit, made Fleet Moss look like a pussycat
Well done Stolly, still don't know how you survived Blea Moor in shorts
Training Tips????? Don't smoke, try not to get a raging cough the week before, don't have too much wine the night before...........seriously, get some long days out on the hills and be prepared to suffer, but carry on regardless with a smile on your face. If i can do this, anyone can
Thanks also to Mr C who stopped off the booze on saturday night and came to pick us up from the school saving a mile walk back to the campsite, what a star

    Re: Fellsman

Hi everyone. It's time for my annual blatant plug: we've posted a Fellsman report, including an interview with winner Jez Bragg at www.grough.co.uk.
In my defence, can I just add that it was me and two colleagues who walked out from Yarnbury to place those annoying flashing yellow beacons before returning to the checkpoint for a 21-hour stint clipping your tallies.
So I have suffered... just not as much as you.
Well done to everyone who took part.
Hope to see you, or your headtorch beam, next year.

There were plenty of photo's being taken on the day ,most by checkpoint staff who won't be reading this forum , but does anyone have any others apart from the ones on Grough?

Great report from Grough ,well worth reading
