Today's Wildlife Encounter

A Red squirrel !! in a wood outside Buttermere village yesterday.

Lapwings a plenty and saw a couple of curlews being blown westwards by the wind.

Little furry goslings on the Trent & Mersey Canal this evening. Went back later to take some pics but they'd gone to bed.

Took a picture of Branston Lock instead!

A hen Goosander with several young spotted earlier this evening on the river

Just back from a week of wall-to-wall blue sky and sunshine in NW Scotland.
Some stunning wildlife encounters on Skye, Rum and Eigg and in Knoydart, including Sea Eagle, Golden eagle, Great Northern Diver and Dotterel.
Work was a bit of a shock to the system today!
