I will also pass the TdG carbon test

One bike is titanium with only a carbon fork, the other is aluminium with only a titanium fork... Mind you, the hubs on my Mavic Ksyrium SK wheels on one bike are carbon and the deep section wheels on the other are also carbon

Got our local sportif in a couple of weeks, Dragon Ride, 120 miles and loads of climbing. Rubbish feed stations last year, no cake!!
yes...sign of weakness although if someone had asked for a go on mine in return for the use of his granny ring at one point, I'd have snapped his arm off!! I'm sure I saw someone there on a softride too

was going to do the dragon ride but they all sell out so quickly and so many things clash and well frankly if there's no cake then I ain't doing it!

Legs a bit achey today after yesterdays 50 loosen them off with a run later!

Not up with you Em, but managed 31 mile in 123 mins although it had a couple of lumps in the middle. (2600')

PS Its only a cheap ebay bike with a fat lad on it

Was out on the bike at 8am on a glorious morning while the girlfriend did her first run of 30mins. Will be back out on the bike again this evening while she puts in another 35-40mins running

The way Lance dragged the pre race favourite up to the summit in todays Giro in what were very testing conditions (very hot) has got to make the TDF favourites sit up and take note.Levi said Lance saved him "minutes" by dragging him up.
To think he had a very disrupted (to say the least) lead up to the race only makes his riding these last couple of weeks even more impressive.
Can he grab no.8 in Paris ? ...looking more realistic by the day imo.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Was a good day in the Giro. I was amused when the comentry said the road was very dusty and they had the motorbike out with the red flag in front of the peleton on the last decent. It is very dusty because there is about 4 km with no tarmac... I road down it about 3 weeks ago in the wet!! The bit lower down where there was tarmac was the worst 13% down for about 4km and very twisty with it. I was not suprised with Popovich pulling out a minute or two over the peleton there, just too bad he died a death going up the last hill. He was probobly half an hour quicker up it than me mind you....

I hope the snow has gone from the top of Blockhause for the next stage. with a rest day and a short stage the 20km climb could be very exiting if Sastra can get a gap.
