I reckon my calculations are pretty much ok.

I've just measured the old course and I make it nearer 1,400ft which seems more logical.

Have you done the race before TT

Have done my first two 5k this week. First runs in nearly a year!!! It took me an age (35mins.....some people do 10k in that time!!! )and was really a run walk but it's a start! (7 weeks post emergency C-section)
Today I am aching in places I didn't know I had!

It might only be 1800ft but they're YORKSHIRE feet

Is there a standard conversion factor from YORKSHIRE to normal imperial feet Ian, or are they just much HARDER?

Interesting variation on a local favourite last night. Up onto Great Hill v soon after leaving Holme village then along the top to Wrigley's Cabin. Bit of exploration on the ridge - peat was dry as a bone! - then onto Black Hill. Down PW until cut off NE towards bridleway back to Holme. Took in another ascent on the face going up to Great Hill. Made just over an hour.

Bloomin' sharp out last night though, back at the car the display indicated it was only 3 degrees.

Last night ran up to Capt. Cook's Monument from Great Ayton village, dropped into Gribdale then up over Great Ayton moor, dropped into Guisborough Woods, ran up the Hanging Stone, down Little Roseberry and up Roseberry Topping. Approx 9 miles. Chicken Curry, 2 cans of stella and The Simpsons afterwards. The perfect evening!

About 7.5 miles from Fox House to Moscar. Wooly hat gloves and waterproofs req'd. Last week too hot to run. When they say climate change is happening very quickly they're not kidding.
