In wet conditions I would much rather go via Lords Rake than Broad Stand as I think the risk is less, but I've also been alert for any stonefall, kept well on the righthand side and moved very quickly up it.

In dry conditions Broad Stand is the quickest way but maybe not if your faffing about with ropes and thinking your going to die
vertigo is my biggest problem. last time I went from Scafell to Scafell Pike I went via Foxes tarn and down the gully which is obviously the long way round but I have never been up Lords Rake and was wondering what it is like
