Great bikes Orange... British built bikes for British conditions. Have only heard good things about them.

Second that. Those that have 'em like 'em.

Did SSUK at weekend. What an experience that was! Didn't see Lola though...

    Fishbulb,

    You rotten S*D.
I said hello to you twice before the race on Sunday morning and you just blanked me and turned away!! OK I did'nt actually say 'Hi I'm Lola' but I'm not that bad looking and I did have my nephew in tow as promised. Hope yours was one of the bikes they hung in the trees now.

Joking aside, the racing standard was very impressive and the cheerful atmosphere was the best I've seen at any race. My humble converted MTB won't cut it next year tho and I dare not get another bike so may have to borrow one for the event.

We did'nt stay to the bitter end as it was a long drive home, what time did you get?

    Merry,

Really pleased about the new job.

And YES, lots of people have seen me, Fishbulb at about 1100hrs on Sunday last for one. There were not that many spectators and even fewer wearing a bright pink sleeveless duvet jacket saying 'hello Fishbulb'. Its stokings, suspenders and a basque next year if thats what it takes to get noticed

Doh! Sorry about that. Mine wasn't hung in the trees but it still took me about 5 minutes to find despite about 2/3 of 'em been taken before I'd ambled up there! Suffice it to say I wasn't exactly 'racing'.
It was indeed a fantastic event and I think that the organisers of the one in Brechfa next year will have a tough job following it.

Ooops, I got excited and forgot my 'c'.

Got quite excited last night in my garage as well
Took a hacksaw and a grinder to my old XT outer ring/spider and now have an almost perfect alloy bashguard. A little gentle fettling to make it round not Biopace and I'm ready for a new SS 36T and the transformation will be complete.

What ratio are you going to run - 36 x 18? I was going to recommend the On-one Stainless chainrings but they only do 'em in 32T. Mine is lovely and should last forever (I hope).
