Im guessing its a full kit jobby 2mz?
Any idea whether we can get a map of the route there?
Looking back I think I enjoyed it, however I reserve the right to change my mind once my legs start aching tonight/tomorrow!
Again, thinking about it i really feel like i enjoyed today.
Good to see Emmi, Daz H and thanyou very much to mister Peawet for a lift, Huw for the drink going up Jenkin Hill and Blackrod lad.
I set off aiming to stick with Daz and to beat 1:30, we both went off like silly buggers and with the sun nailing down on us i was struggling going up Jenkin Hill. Really got the calves working over-time and producing some heat!
Managed to keep daz within my sights but he had more to give than me and pulled away eventually.
People seems not to rate this race but i think its one of those races that you have to do once, and even though it certainly wasnt easy i'd like to try it again.
Certainly a 'hill' that should not be underestimated!
My heels are still hot though.
Cheers to the organisers, the marshalls and the groups of people out on the course offering encouragement really does help!

Certainly a hot one today.
Thanks to the organisers and marshalls etc
Cheers
Al, presumably he'd built that lead by the time we crossed the A66!
I crossed him at that last gate; he beat me by 20 mins!
This was my first time on this one and I'm in mixed minds; can see why people don't like it given that we have to take the motorway route up (and down) so makes it more of a trail race than a fell race.
On the other hand not sure that you get much bigger up and downs (in England that is!).
Enjoyed it, longest FR to date, broke 1h30 and was just about in the top quartile. Got a stupid vest sun tan again (see why Ricky was bare topped) and no sun cream so shoulders hurting more than legs at the moment.
Thanks to organisers, marshalls, was it you Huw who gave me a sip from your water bottle - many thanks however it was.
